A new tablet by Zync, a part of Apple Group of Companies (India), has been launched which is India’s first tablet running on Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Zync Z-990 is a 7-inch tablet and is priced at Rs.8,990 which seems pretty nominal for an ICS running tablet.
It is powered by a 1.2 Ghz processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB in-built memory expandable to 32 GB, Wi-Fi connectivity, 0.3 MP front camera, full-sized USB port that supports pen drives, external keyboards and 3G USB dongles, HDMI port, and micro USB port.
That’s now all, the tablet comes with add-on accessories such as screen guard, pouch and a lycra sleeve, apart from the standard USB cable and a charger, all included in the package.
The Zync Z-990 is currently available via various e-commerce websites such as Letsbuy.com, HomeShop18.com. An attached keyboard especially designed for the Zync tablets is also available for separate purchase. The tablets come with a one-year pick-up and drop warranty.
