Just after Google announced the Android Oreo (Go Edition) in December 2017, manufacturers started making Android Go enabled smartphones and unveiled at the MWC 2018 event. ZTE Tempo Go is among the Android Go smartphones and one of the first Android Go device around the world.
Other phones that are based on Android Go are Nokia 1, Alcatel 1X (Android Go), and Lava Z50. The ZTE Tempo Go runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) with latest updates and patches.
The ZTE Tempo Go specs may not sound impressive since it’s a budget device. It’s 5-inch phone with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core SoC. Further, it comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage that is capable of expanding up to 32 GB via microSD card.
For imaging, the rear side equips a 5 MP camera whereas the front side holds 2 MP camera for selfies or video calling needs. It packs a 2,200 mAh battery. While the hardware sounds too basic for the Android, the Android Go is designed for low-end hardware.
The ZTE Tempo Go is priced at a compelling price of $79.99 which is equivalent to Rs 5,200 in India. As of now the availability of the phone hasn’t been announced yet.
