While we are expecting a range of new smartphones powered by the octa-core processors to be launched this year, ZTE seems to be prepping its own smartphone.
An unknown ZTE smartphone was spotted today. Interestingly, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek MT6595 which is the company’s recently launched octa-core processor which has LTE capabilities. The chip also has 4K2K video recording/playback capabilities. Should this ZTE phone be released anytime soon, it would be the first to be powered by this processor.
While we haven’t managed to get the name of the phone, we managed to get the specs. The phone would have a 5 inch HD display with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The phone also has an 8 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 5 MP camera. Speculation suggest that it would be part of the company’s low-priced offerings and would be priced at around $160.
