With the craze for very affordable low-end smartphones, ZTE had supported the Firefox OS. Now the company has launched the ZTE Open C with the latest Firefox OS version.
ZTE has announced the launch of the ZTE Open C, which is the company’s latest entry-level smartphone running Mozilla’s open source Firefox OS. The device has a slightly bigger 4 inch display with higher resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a faster dual core Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage.
The ZTE Open C has a small 3.15 MP rear facing camera. The device runs on the latest Firefox OS 1.3 making it the first such device. The update provides support for dual SIM, dual standby, there is also support for autofocus on camera. The handset is priced at $99 and is available through eBay.
