ZTE has just announced that they will be pre-loading the Google Now launcher on its smartphones. Google Now launcher was first introduced with the Nexus 5 and Google later started offering it to the other Nexus devices and Google Play Edition smartphones through the Play Store.
The first smartphone to get the Google Now launcher is the ZTE Blade Vec 4G. While the Blade Vec 4G is already on sale in Europe, the device is going on sale in Hong Kong on 24th July and the device will have the Google Now launcher on-board. ZTE plans on offering the Google Now launcher on all its Android 4.4 KitKat powered smartphones, which support Google services and Play services.
Google Now launcher, as the name suggests, gives you quick access to the Google Now service, right from the homescreen. The Google Now launcher doesn’t really bring a major overhaul but if you access Google Now all the time then it will surely not disappoint you.
Zeng Xuezhong, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices, and Executive Vice President of ZTE Corporation commented, “ZTE’s strong relationship with Google and Qualcomm Technologies is in line with our focus on developing affordable premium devices that has rich voice control function as well as multimedia solutions. ZTE is continuing to push the boundaries and brings its customers the very latest experience that mobile technology can offer.”
