While MediaTek announced its new true octa core earlier, Zopo has announced the first smartphone powered by the processor – the Zopo ZP998.
The Zopo ZP998 has a rather large 5.5 inch display with 1080p resolution. The device is powered by the recently launched octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz with the capability to fire up all the eight cores simultaneously. The processor is supported by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage with a Mali 450 GPU.
The Zopo ZP998 is equipped with a massive 14 MP rear facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The handset comes with a 2400 mAh battery with NFC and Bluetooth 4.0 LE support. The device, despite its high end specs, is priced humbly at just $299
