The last smartphone that was launched by Micromax’s subsidiary YU was Yunicorn. It was launched with a price tag of ₹12,999, and now, a similarly priced smartphone named Yureka S has been listed on YU’s website.
The YU Yureka S that has been listed online is powered by Snapdragon 615 SoC which is paired with 3 GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The device sports a 5.2-inch Full-HD display which is kept on by a 3000 mAh battery.
The Yureka S surprisingly runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop even when we are moving closer to the public release of Android 7.0 Nougat. We would have liked to see Yureka S run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. However, we hope YU will do customers a favor and roll out Marshmallow later on.
