Just months after YU launched the affordable YU Yuphoria, the company is now offering a price cut on the handset.
YU, a subsidiary of Micromax, has announced a price cut of Rs. 500 on the YU Yuphoria. With the price cut in effect, the handset, which was launched at Rs. 6999, is now available at Rs. 6499. Interestingly, the smartphone now comes with the stock Android v5.0 Lollipop version instead of the Cyanogen OS 12 version.
The YU Yuphoria boasts of a 5 inch HD display and is powered by the quad core Snapdragon 410 processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The phone also flaunts an 8 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 5 MP camera. The handset is currently retailing exclusively on Amazon.in. The company had recently launched an even more affordable 4G smartphone – the YU Yunique priced at just Rs. 4999.
