With the demand for affordable smartphones increasing and the market widening, YU has now launched its most affordable Android smartphone – the YU YUNIQUE.
YU, a sub-brand of Micromax, has announced the launch of the YU YUNIQUE, which is the company’s most affordable 4G LTE enabled Android smartphone running on decent specs compared to the others in the same price range. The device has a small 4.7 inch IPS Fully Laminated display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
The YU YUNIQUE has an 8 MP rear facing auto focus camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera with 83-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture. The device runs on the latest Cyanogen OS based on the Android Lollipop version with a 2000 mAh battery. The handset is priced at just Rs. 4999 and is expected to go on sale on September 15 exclusively through Snapdeal.
