Micromax’s YU Yureka has been a pretty good success for the company but the company isn’t resting on its laurels yet. Today, YU teased the launch of a brand new smartphone under the Project Caesar.
While we have no idea what Project Caesar exactly is, we believe it’s a new smartphone from the company. The new smartphone is sure to come with the latest version of Cyanogen OS, which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, as the teaser suggests.
The teaser from the company says, “You’ve got a KitKat, Why don’t you wait for a Lollipop? Stay tuned for project caesar”. The teaser shows a Lollipop image loading at 60%, so we guess the new smartphone should be coming soon.
YU also took a dig at Xiaomi in the very next post. The company wrote, “KitKat in the age of lollipop? Give ME a break. Project Caesar: Stay tuned, the fYUture is coming!” The ME in the picture features the M with the Mi branding we know from Xiaomi. It is a dig at all smartphones from Xiaomi running KitKat and none running Android 5.0 Lollipop.
In related news, YU should be rolling out the Cyanogen OS 12 update (based on Lollipop) soon to Yureka users, considering they have already started beta testing it.
