With online-exclusive smartphone brands becoming very popular in India, Xolo is now planning to launch its own brand in the market which would retail exclusively on online stores.
According to sources, Xolo, which is subsidiary of Lava Mobiles, is planning to launch an online-only smartphone brand called Black. The new brand is expected to launch as early as next month. The new company is expected to launch a mid-range device but with 4G LTE support and a very affordable pricing. The handset is also said to flaunt dual rear cameras.
Just like the other vendors selling exclusively online, Xolo is said to be tying up with an online retailer for its sales. However, unlike the other vendors, the company doesn’t plan on adopting the flash-sale model. Interestingly, the company has apparently tied up with a telecom operator to provide bundled data-offers.
