A few weeks back Micromax announced the launch of its Quad-core smartphone A116 Canvas HD, the Canvas HD is selling like hot cakes and it seems other Indian mobile manufacturers also want to get on the Quad-core band wagon. Today XOLO and the launch of Q800, its first Quad-core smartphone. XOLO also plans to launch various new handsets with Quad–Core processor in the coming quarter and named this series as QCORE.
The XOLO Q800 runs on Android Jelly bean and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor. It is equipped with a 4.5″ qHD IPS display which supports 5 finger touch gesture. It has a resolution of 960×540 and can play Full HD 1080p videos at 30fps. It comes with 4 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM.
It sports a 8 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera, both come with BSI sensor technology. BSI (Back Side Illumination) Sensor enables to click clear and crisp pictures even in low light environment as it increases the amount of light captured by the lens, hence improving low light imaging performance. The rear camera can shoot 720p videos. It has a dedicated camera key for quicker access to the camera.
For Music lovers this phone packs in a YAMAHA 168 PA music system. Other features are – Shake to change the song and Auto filter in music settings to filter the songs based on their size. It comes with a 2100 mAh battery. It comes with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU and has an Accelerometer and a Gyroscope for a great gaming experience.
