XOLO, the Indian manufacturer has been busy launching a plethora of new smartphones this year but they might be working to up the ante pretty soon. A new report suggests XOLO is working on a brand new flagship device and it will also come with a new HIVE UI.
The news comes from the folks at GSMArena, who got the information through an inside source. The source has revealed the picture of the upcoming XOLO flagship and a screenshot of the new HIVE UI. The device does look pretty sleek in the picture.
We also have the specs of the new flagship. The XOLO flagship is said to be coming with a 5-inch display of HD (1280x720p) resolution and there’s Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection. It is said to be powered by a Octa-core processor, supposedly a MediaTek chipset coupled with 2 gigs of RAM.
The screenshot gives us a look at the new HIVE UI. According to the source, the new XOLO UI will be based on Android 4.4 KitKat and it will bring a lot of visual improvements with new icons, themes, new control panel and a dedicated media console app. XOLO is also said to be working with a designer community to bring more themes. XOLO will also bring its own store with the new UI, which will let users download exclusive content and themes.
Along with the new looks, the new HIVE UI will bring unique features to XOLO smartphones. You will be able to interact with fellow XOLO users and the company’s developers itself. Users will be able totell the XOLO developers the features they need and eventually have them.
The source suggests that the new XOLO flagship with HIVE UI might launch as soon as second week of July. XOLO looks all set to compete with the bigger boys of the industry and we will see soon if they can do that with the new flagship.
