While the flagship Xiaomi Mi 5 is doing quite well in the market with its high-end specs and the unbelievable pricing, the company seems to also be working on another variant of the handset.
According to reports based out of China, Xiaomi is currently working on the Xiaomi Mi 5s. While we thought that it would be the ‘Mini’ version with toned-down specs, turns out it would employ the same cutting edge hardware used on the flagship, if not better. Also it is expected to use the same design as the flagship.
Interestingly, while the Xiaomi Mi 5s is expected to have the same 5.15 inch display, it is said to use pressure-sensitive display popularly known as 3D Force Touch as seen in the iPhone 6s. Additionally, the handset is also expected to use an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor from Qualcomm to make the fingerprint scanning faster and more accurate.
