Xiaomi schedules launch event in China on July 16

While we just saw the Mi 5 Plus listing on TENAA, Xiaomi now seems to be ready to launch the flagships next week.

Xiaomi has put up teasers for its upcoming launch event scheduled on July 16 in China. The image just shows PK with a slim metal frame cutting across. While the company did not give any details of the handsets to be unveiled, we can expect to see the company’s flagship Mi 5 along with the Mi 5 Plus.

However, there are sources which claim that it is still too early for Xiaomi to launch the flagship and the company might instead release some other product which could be tablet given the length of the metal frame. We would have the exact details of the product later next week.
