After several teasers from the company, Xiaomi has finally officially unveiled its next generation Redmi smartphone – the Xiaomi Redmi Pro alongside the new Mi Notebook Air.
Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Pro, which is the company’s first 4G smartphone flaunting a dual rear camera setup. The device has a brushed metal body with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button. There is also the USB Type-C port at the bottom.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro has a 5.5 inch OLED 2.5D curved glass display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the deca core MediaTek X20/X25 processor and is available in two variants – one with 3 GB of RAM and the other with 4 GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pro sports a dual camera setup at the back with a 13 MP with Sony IMX258 sensor, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash along with a 5 MP camera for achieving depth of field and real-time background blur. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Marshmallow version with a 4000 mAh battery. The phone has hybrid dual SIM support with 4G LTE and VoLTE connectivity. The handset is priced starting at 1499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 15000) and is available in Gold, Silver and Gray colour options.
