Xiaomi recently sent out press invites for an event scheduled on July 27 in China. As soon as the invites were sent, many began speculating that Xiaomi will unveil Redmi Note 4 in the event. However, the company has confirmed that it will be unveiling the Redmi Pro on July 27 and not Redmi Note 4. Xiaomi has also confirmed that Redmi Pro will be unveiled on July 27 during the event.
Xiaomi confirmed the unveiling of Redmi Pro in a post on Weibo (Chinese social network). The Redmi Pro will be unveiled on July 27 in an event held in Beijing National Convention Center in China. Xiaomi also said that there will be one more product which will be unveiled along with Redmi Pro.
The Redmi Pro was also spotted on benchmarking websites earlier. Going by those listings, the Redmi Pro might come with Helio X20 SoC with 3 GB RAM or Helio X25 SoC with 4 GB of RAM along with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. A leaked teaser also suggested dual camera setup on a Xiaomi device, however, it’s not known which device that is. It might be the Redmi Note 4 or Redmi Pro.
Not much is known right now, but as the unveiling is set on July 27, you don’t have to wait much either.
