While we were expecting the Xiaomi Redmi Note after it was officially confirmed by the company, Xiaomi has finally officially announced the device.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note has a 5.5 inch display based on OGS technology with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by the already famous octa core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7 GHz along with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. As expected the handset comes with dual SIM support with TD-SCDMA on one slot and GSM on second slot.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note has a massive 13 MP camera with a 28mm lens and f/2.2 aperture along with a LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the Android v4.2.2 with a layer of the company’s MIUI v5. The handset is priced at 999 Yuan and is expected to release globally with a WCDMA variant.
