After launching the Redmi 3 Pro, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime this year, it seems Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi 4 soon. The Redmi 4, which will be successor to the Redmi 3, has popped up on Geekbench revealing some information about its hardware.
The Redmi 4 has been listed on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625 SoC which is coupled with 3 GB RAM and backed by Adreno 506 GPU. The device also runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Back in June, there were rumors that the Redmi 4 might be powered by Helio X20. But, with the Geekbench listing, it now seems that Redmi 4 will indeed have Snapdragon 625 SoC under the hood which is a successor to the Snapdragon 616 SoC.
The Redmi 3 and Redmi 3 Pro were both powered by Snapdragon 616 SoC so it only makes to sense to power the Redmi 4 by Snapdragon 625. The Redmi 4 scored 929 points in single-core test and 4750 points in multi-core test on Geekbench.
The Redmi 4 is expected to launch on August 25, but, as always, expect more details to leak online till the device is unveiled.
