On the camera front, Redmi 4 offers a 13 MP f/2.0 PDAF camera at the back with a single LED flash. The front has a 5 MP shooter for taking selfies. The camera does sound it’s more or less the same from its predecessor Redmi 3S, hence, the performance is expected to be as good or a tad better.
The camera offers a wide range of features including Manual Mode, Panorama, Beautify, Night Mode (HHT), Time-lapse, Tilt-shift and a few more. Both the camera has an ability to capture 1080p video at 30 frames per second. The rear camera can at least perform better than the cheaper variant Redmi 4A as far as I know.
There is nothing to complain about the camera considering its price, the images look decent especially from a phone priced under ₹10,000. We won’t go deep with its low light performance capability as the camera is weak for shooting night shots, however, the daylight performance is acceptable. We have taken some shots in the daylight, take a look at them below.
