We already know that the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is going to be unveiled on January 12. Now, we have two more updates incoming. First is that the Redmi 3 will be packing in a massive 4100mAh battery inside it. And the second is that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 616 SoC instead of 617 as told by us in a post earlier today.
According to an analyst named Sun Changxu, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 will be powered by a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor backed by 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. The teaser shown above which is shared by the company also reveals full metal body of the Redmi 3. Changxu, on his Weibo account also stated that the price of this handset will be higher than expected.
Another teaser shared by the company on its Weibo account today confirms that the Redmi 3 will be sporting a 4100mAh battery. With the given specs and 4100mAh battery, we can expect the Redmi 3 to last for 1 to 1.5 days on single charge.
