While Xiaomi has been slashing prices on their products, the company has now slashed the price of the affordable Redmi 2.
Xiaomi has announced a price cut of Rs. 1000 for the Redmi 2 smartphone in India. The handset, which was launched earlier this year for Rs. 6999, is now available for Rs. 5999. The new price, which would be effective from today. The handset is popular for being the first smartphone to support 4G on both the SIM cards.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 sports a 4.7 inch HD display and is powered by a quad core Snapdragon 410 processor. The handset is also equipped with an 8 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 2 MP camera. The smartphone is available for purchase on Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal and The Mobile Store.
