While the Mi3 and the Redmi 1S grabbed a lot of attention (and criticism), Xiaomi is gearing to launch the Mi4 and the Redmi Note in India.
According to sources, Hugo Barra, VP of Xiaomi, has confirmed that the Mi4 and the Redmi Note phablet would be launched in India in the next two months. While the Redmi Note was launched in the country for Rs. 9999, it still hasn’t gone on sale due to issues with logistics. The phablet is rumoured to go on sale before Diwali but we may have to wait slightly longer than that.
The Mi4 was initially rumored to launch in India towards the end of the year and now Barra has ascertained that we would see it soon. That also marks the end of Mi3 in India with the recent sale being the last. Chances are high that the Mi4 and the Redmi Note would be launched together but it remains to see whether they would entice the customers just like the Redmi 1S.
