China-based Xiaomi today announced its Mi MIX 2S flagship smartphone at an event in Shanghai. However, apart from announcing the Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi also announced the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop and took everyone by surprise.
The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop is in no way the first laptop that Xiaomi has launched. But, it is the first gaming laptop from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop features a 15.6-inch screen that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It also has a viewing angle of 178-degrees and a brightness of 300 nits. Moreover, the screen also comes with anti-glare features to help reduce strain to your eyes when you are busy chasing zombies without even winking your eyes.
The Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop has a Mi logo below the display, and, the overall design of this gaming laptop is pretty clean. Moreover, like other Xiaomi laptops, the Mi Gaming Laptop screen lid is also devoid of any branding.
Moving on, the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop comes with backlit keyboard that’s divided into four zones with support for 16 Million colors. Oh, there also are 5 macro keys that can be customized to perform different actions – like ordering food – because once we start gaming, we forget about almost everything. Don’t we? No?
Anyways though, talking about the innards, the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop comes in four different variants – two of them are powered by Intel’s 7th gen Core i7 7700HQ processors with the other two powered by Core i5 7300 HQ processors.
The laptop also comes with up to 16 GB RAM with the graphics department handled by NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1060 GPU. That said, the Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop also features cooling system for heat dissipation, and, there’s also a special key with which you can turn on turbo cooling to cool down the laptop much faster.
