Chinese technology brand Xiaomi at an event today in Shanghai announced the Mi MIX 2S smartphone along with its Mi Gaming Laptop. But, these aren’t the only products that Xiaomi announced. Alongside the Mi MIX 2S and the Mi Gaming Laptop, Xiaomi also announced the Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker Mini.
The Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker Mini is the smaller version of the Mi AI Speaker that Xiaomi launched last year in July. And, as already evident from its name, the Mi AI Speaker Mini comes with Xiao AI smart assistant that performs different actions based on your voice commands.
With this AI-based smart assistant, users can also control their smart home appliances with voice commands. That said, the Mi AI Speaker Mini also comes with access to a whopping 35 Million songs and audio books and other premium audio for which Xiaomi has teamed up with 27 partners.
The Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker Mini weighs 210 grams and also has four buttons at the top four different functions like playing/pausing a music, increasing/decreasing the volume, or enabling/disabling the mic.
In terms of connectivity, the Mi Speaker AI Mini supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n as well as Bluetooth 4.1. It also has a microUSB port, and, can be connected to devices that run Android 4.4 or above and iOS 8.0 or above.
Having said that, the Xiaomi Mi AI Speaker Mini doesn’t come with built-in battery, and hence, relies on a 5V/2A power adapter that comes bundled along.
