Xiaomi has made two announcements this month, the launch of the official Mi Home store in Bangalore and the Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone alongside the Mi Router 3C. Now the company wants to announce two handsets in India, speculating either Mi 6 or the recently launched Mi Max 2.
According to the tweet made by the company’s head Manu Kumar Jain, it hints the launch of the new device somewhere in July. All the three smartphones, Redmi 4A, Redmi Note 4, and Redmi 4 sold over 250,000 units on their first sale, this achievement is marked in the tweet followed by a date asking what Xiaomi should do on 23rd July.
While Manu Jain hasn’t mentioned any smartphone in his tweet, we are expecting the two most anticipated devices from the Xiaomi, Mi 6 and Mi Max 2. To recall, Xiaomi Mi 5 was launched in India last year and it could possibly be the one to come in July. However, another smartphone Mi Max from Xiaomi also launched last year by the end of the June.
Speaking about both the devices, one is focused on midrange market and the other is a flagship which could compete with the upcoming OnePlus 5, and the Samsung Galaxy S8.
For quick specifications, the 6.44-inch Mi Max 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with the top variant carrying 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. It houses a big 5,300 mAh battery and cameras of 12 MP (rear) and 5 MP (front). It comes with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 6 equips a 5.15-inch full HD display, carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 6 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage, and a battery of 3,350 mAh capacity. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
