The Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 were launched in India last month and both these devices have seen a huge demand in India. Redmi Note 3 is a budget offering from Xiaomi, whereas the Mi 5 is company’s flagship device.
Xiaomi sold both these devices through a couple of flash sales which required prior registration to participate in those sales. Ultimately, not all those who wanted to buy either of these phones were able to get one for them. But hey, that’s what flash sales are all about. Aren’t they? Only the lucky ones get to buy stuff. Xiaomi sold both these devices along with the 20000 mAh Mi power bank in an open sale three days ago. Even in open sale, the products went out of stock immediately so now Xiaomi will be selling the Mi 5, Redmi Note 3 and the Mi Power Bank in an open sale again on May 4.
For those unaware, the Mi 5 is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC which is coupled with 3 GB RAM along with Adreno 530 GPU. It boasts off a 5.15-inch Full-HD LCD display and packs a 3000 mAh battery. The Mi 5 sports a 16 MP rear camera, 4 MP front camera and runs on MIUI 7 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage with no room for expanding the storage.
As for the Redmi Note 3, it has Snapdragon 650 SoC and 2/3 GB of RAM under the hood, whereas the graphics department is handled by Adreno 510 GPU. It boasts off 5.5-inch Full-HD display along with a 4000 mAh battery. It features 16 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and runs on MIUI 7 which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
The Mi 5 is priced at ₹24,999 whereas the 2 GB + 16 GB variant of the Redmi Note 3 is priced at ₹9999 and the 3 GB + 32 GB variant is priced at ₹11,999. As for the 20000 mAh Mi Power Bank, it will cost you ₹1699.
