We are eagerly waiting for April to see what Xiaomi has in store for us with the flagship Mi 6. However, it would seem that the company may launch the next generation Redmi Pro 2 before that.
According to reports from GizmoChina, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Redmi Pro 2 in March. While the exact date is not yet revealed, sources suggest that the announcement may come towards the end of the month.
Interestingly, the reports also throw some light on the specs of the upcoming Redmi Pro 2. For starters, it is confirmed that the handset would continue with the dual camera setup seen in the predecessor despite the rumours suggesting otherwise.
Additionally, the Redmi Pro 2 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio P25 processor and not the rumoured Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset. The handset is expected in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants with the price starting at 1599 Yuan (approx. Rs. 15000).
