While we just heard about Xiaomi’s plans to launch the 4G enabled Redmi smartphone on January 4, the company seems to have more in store.
According to sources, Xiaomi is planning another massive launch event on January 15. While we have already seen rumours suggesting the launch of the flagship Mi 5, the company seems to have plans to release the upgraded Redmi Note smartphone. While we do not have the exact details for now, sources in the know suggest that the handset could be priced somewhere in the $145 to $160 price range.
While there is no official confirmation regarding the same, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is said to flaunt a 5.5 inch full HD LCD display and is expected to be powered by the 64 bit Snapdragon 615 processor along with 2 GB of RAM. Also expected is a 13 MP rear facing camera and a front facing 5 MP camera. We should be getting more details shortly.
