While the Xiaomi Redmi 4 was just spotted at Geekbench, details about the company’s upcoming smartphones have surfaced.
According to sources, Xiaomi is expected to launch two new smartphones in the next few weeks. The upcoming smartphones include the Redmi 4 and the Mi Note 2. The Redmi 4 is expected to be unveiled later this month at a launch event scheduled on August 25. The Mi Note 2, on the other hand, is expected to arrive early next month on September 5.
The Redmi 4 is expected to have a 5 inch full HD display and would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Also expected is a 4100 mAh battery with a fingerprint scanner and full metal body. Sources suggest that the Redmi 4 would be priced at 699 Yuan (approx. Rs. 7000).
Similarly, the Mi Note 2 is expected to flaunt a Samsung-made AMOLED display of probably 5.5 inches. The smartphone is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with as much as 6 GB of RAM. Also expected is a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button. The Mi Note 2 is expected to retail starting at 2499 Yuan (approx. Rs. 25000).
