While we having been eagerly awaiting Xiaomi’s flagship of 2015, the handset may finally be official towards the end of the year.
According to sources, Xiaomi will launch the flagship Mi 5 on December 3 in China. The company had to apparently delay the launch because it was awaiting Qualcomm to finish developing the Snapdragon 820 chip which would be used to power the smartphone. Now that Qualcomm is expected to unveil the chipset on November 20, Xiaomi would have sufficient time to ready its flagship.
While the exact specs are not yet officially revealed, rumours suggest that the handset would flaunt a 5.2 inch Quad HD display with 4 GB of RAM, a fingerprint scanner and the new USB Type-C port. Also expected is a 16 MP primary camera and a front facing 8 MP camera. The handset is said to be priced at 1900 Yuan (approx. Rs. 21000). We should have more details soon.
