Alongside launching the 10,000 mAh and 20,000 mAh Mi Power Bank 2 in India today, Xiaomi has also launched a repeater and a Bluetooth speaker in India called the Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2 and Mi Bluetooth Speaker Mini respectively.
The Mi Bluetooth Speaker Mini is very small and is made out of metal. It weighs 58 grams and Xiaomi says the speaker is pretty much loud for its size. The Mi Bluetooth Speaker Mini also comes with a microphone so that you can answer phone calls. It has a microUSB port at the bottom for charging along with a power button to turn it on and off.
Xiaomi has used CSR Bluetooth 4.0 chipset in this speaker for stable Bluetooth connections and energy efficiency. Speaking of battery, Xiaomi says that you get four hours of battery life on this mini speaker.
Xiaomi has also launched the Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2. For those unaware, a repeater, in simple language, is a range extender for your Wi-Fi. With repeater, the Wi-Fi signals are amplified to cover more area. Hence, if you have a big house and the Wi-Fi signals aren’t reaching all the corners of your house, investing in a repeater would be a good idea.
Xiaomi says that Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2 is compatible with all the popular router brands and supports transmissions speeds of up to 300 Mbps. Besides, it also supports connections for up to 16 devices. The design of the Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2 is also pretty impressive. It can rotate at 180-degrees which means you can easily set it up at most of the corners in your house.
The Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2 is a plug-and-play device and can consume power out of power sockets, power strips, power banks or even laptops.
