While the Xiaomi Redmi 1S is very popular in India, the company now has plans on releasing the upgraded version early next week.
Xiaomi has announced that the company is all set to launch a new smartphone in China which would be the latest addition to the Redmi series. The handset, which would be the successor of the Redmi 1S, is said to come with the standard dual SIM support but with added 4G LTE connectivity. The announcement is scheduled to take place on January 4, 2015.
While Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the specs of the upcoming Redmi smartphone, the handset is expected to be available in a wide-range of colour options. This announcement comes immediately after Lenovo revealed that it is planning on announcing a 4G LTE enabled smartphone which would be priced lesser than the Redmi 1S.
