While everyone was quite sceptical about the future of Xiaomi’s bezel-less smartphone – Mi Mix, the company has confirmed that it already has begun work on the next version.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the company is indeed working on the Xiaomi Mi Mix II – the successor to the smartphone with almost no bezels. The executive also confirmed that the company would again be partnering with French designer Philippe Starck for the successor. The handset is supposed to be released in the later half of 2017.
While Lei Jun was silent about the details of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix II, sources in the know suggest that the company is working on further pushing the boundaries of the handset. The handset would reportedly flaunt a 93 percent screen to body ratio outdoing the original Mi Mix at 91.3 percent. We are awaiting more details about the handset.
