Last night, Microsoft announced the launch of the Windows Phone 8 OS and along with it also spilled some beans on some App Stats and list of new apps which are coming soon to the new OS.
The Window Phone Store now has over 120,000 apps for Windows Phone users to choose from and more are incoming.
Though the number is less when it is to be compared to the 700,000 apps in iTunes App Store and more than 650,000 apps in the Google Play Store, the number is Windows Phone Store is consistently increasing. This number matches the report of AAWP which said the same.
Besides the number, Microsoft has also announced the list of apps which are coming to Windows Phone 8 OS which include the:
- Temple Run
- Jetpack JoyRide
- Asphalt 7
- Cut the Rope
- Angry Birds Star Wars
- Where is my Water
- Fairway Solitaire
- New Facebook App
- New Twitter App
- New Skype App
- Pandora (1 year of free music streaming)
- UrbanSpoon
Microsoft has said that 46 out of the top 50 apps on other platforms will be coming to the Windows Phone 8 OS which is good to hear.
