There are many Windows Phone 8 users out there who are lately facing re-booting on their new smartphone without any warning, irrespective of, if the smartphone is from HTC or Nokia.
And today we are hearing that Microsoft, the Redmond based giant is aware of the issue and will be pushing out a fix for it over-the-air (OTA) next month.
According to AllThingsD Microsoft has issued a statement which read:
We’re continuing to investigate some reports of phones re-booting and have identified a cause with our partners. We are working to get an over-the-air update out in December.
Interestingly, Microsoft has not revealed any details on the root-cause that is causing re-booting on the devices. So if you one of those unlucky few who have been frustrated by the constant re-booting without any warning on your shiny new Windows Phone 8 smartphones, then keep a watch over the notifications for an OTA update to fix the issue.
Just yesterday we heard about Apollo Plus, which is said to be the first update to the Windows Phone 8 OS bringing in a couple of new features that Microsoft missed at the time of launching the OS and also bring in various fixes in Q1 2013.
