Last night, Microsoft went on to send out invites to various blogs and parts of media inviting them to witness the launch of the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 OS.
And its official, both the Modern UI (previously called Metro UI) based Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 OS are launching on October 25th and October 29th respectively.
With the launch of both the new OSes, we expect Microsoft and other OEMs to make available the various devices including tablets and smartphones running on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 very soon.
According to TheVerge, the Microsoft Surface tablets are to hit the market and be available for users to get their hands on from October 26th midnight. But interestingly we still haven’t seen any information from Microsoft regarding the pricing of the tablets.
Also now that we know that the Window Phone 8 OS is launching on October 29th, we expect Nokia, HTC and Samsung to make available their smartphones to the public from early November as expected.
Also it will be interesting to see as to what more Microsoft has packed-in the new OS and will it be worth the wait and fight with Android and the iOS. For now mark the dates and stay tuned to us!
