Whatsapp for Symbian updates, brings homescreen widget and performance fixes

After updating on the Windows Phone platform, the cross-platform messenger Whatsapp has been update for Symbian devices. The update is said to bring in performance improvements and a new homescreen widget.

The update is about 3.3mb in size and bumps the update version to v2.6.61,


WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia.

The new updated version is not available at the Nokia Store as of yet, so head over here to download the app from Whatsapp’s official website download page.
