With the increasing popularity of instant messaging apps, WeChat has released the version 5.2 of its popular messenger on the Android platform.
The WeChat v.5.2 has a new interface that lets you quickly switch between the various features of the messenger and the friends. The refreshed UI of the app has three tabs, the Chat tab – which has all your conversations, the Discover tab – which shows the Moments, QR code scanner, games and sticker shop, and the Contacts tab – which lists all your contacts.
The WeChat v.5.2 has features like Friend Radar, which lets you add users in your vicinity. Similarly, you can share your real-time location with your friends to help them navigate using the WeChat map. Also all photos shared in a group chat are saved as a photo album. You can search any message or contact using the Universal search, without having to scroll back. Finally, there are also free stickers available on the WeChat Sticker Shop to spice up your conversations.
Other than the new features in the WeChat v.5.2, there are also general improvements like Group Chat mention notifications and enhanced Audio and Video quality. You can download the latest version of the messenger from the Google Play store.
