Vodafone India has got its name written in the Guinness World Records by providing uninterrupted conversation on its network for more than 24 hours. Now that is something we don’t usually see.
This makes Vodafone India the first ever telecom company in India to get a distinction for its superior network.
The record was established on 29th March 2012, where an uninterrupted telephone conversation relay for 25 hours 11 minutes & 40 seconds took place in Mumbai with the most number of people. The call started on 28th March 2012 at 12 noon and went on till 13:00 hours, 11 minutes and 40 seconds an there were a total number of 36 people who participated in this uninterrupted conversation. The record was adjudicated by Mr. Jack Brockbank from Guinness World Records who was present on site.
This is truly a huge feat for the company; however this doesn’t go on to prove the robustness of the network. There are a number of network issues faced daily by mobile users in India, perhaps the company should be looking in to these issues rather than setting world records. Don’t you think?
