Two weeks ago, telecom operator Vodafone launched a new tariff plan priced at ₹158 for its prepaid customers that offered free voice calls and 1 GB 3G/4G data per day for 28 days. Now, the telco has launched another prepaid plan that’s priced at ₹299.
Vodafone prepaid customers who do a recharge of ₹299 are offered unlimited local and STD voice calls, free roaming, 100 free local and national SMS per day, and 1 GB of 2G data per day for 56 days which translates to a total of 56 GB of data.
Well, at a time when everyone else if offering 4G data, Vodafone offering 2G data with this prepaid pack might come as a surprise to you. However, it’s worth noting that this ₹299 prepaid plan has been launched in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circle where 4G coverage is poor or non-existent.
Moreover, contrary to what Vodafone is advertising, the local and STD voice calls on this pack aren’t unlimited. They do come with a daily limit of 250 minutes and weekly limit of 1000 minutes.
For now, this ₹299 prepaid plan is available only in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circle, however, Vodafone might expand it in other circles with poor or no 4G connectivity.
