To simplify the process of quantifying performance of a smartphone, we have benchmark applications which rate the device. One of the most reliable and widely used of such apps is the AnTuTu Benchmark app. With new hardware, there were devices scoring very high, but none had touched the 40000 mark, until now.
The Vivo XShot, which is yet to be announced, has just passed the AnTuTu Benchmarks. The device scored a whopping 40023, making it the first device to enter the 40000 range surpassing all the high-end devices like the Galaxy Note 3 etc. the performance is attributed to the quad core Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5 GHz and supported by 3 GB of RAM.
The Vivo Xshot recently made news when sources revealed that the device would be camera-centric and would feature a 24 MP rear facing camera with an aperture of f/1.8, OIS and dual LED flash. Similarly there is a rather unique 7.68 MP front facing camera. As of now, there is no word on the launch date but we can expect this to be priced quite heavily.
