After several leaks and teasers, vivo has officially unveiled its new flagship – the vivo Xplay5, which is also touted to be the world’s first smartphone with a massive 6 GB of RAM.
Vivo has announced the launch of the vivo Xplay5, which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone with full metal body and fingerprint scanner on the back. The device has a 5.43 inch Super AMOLED dual curved edge display with Corning Gorilla glass protection and resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The vivo Xplay5 is available in two variants – one powered by the powerful quad core Snapdragon 820 processor with massive 6 GB of RAM and the other powered by the octa core Snapdragon 652 processor with 4 GB of RAM. Both the variants have 128 GB of internal storage.
The vivo Xplay5 has a 16 MP rear facing auto focus camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. There is also a front facing 8 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Marshmallow version with a 3600 mAh battery with dual-charging chip for fast charging. The handset is available in Champagne Gold and Rose Gold colour options.
