Just as expected, the world’s first phone with a 2K display is now official. After the numerous teasers the company has finally announced the Vivo Xplay 3S.
The Vivo Xplay 3S is the world’s first smartphone to feature the 2K HD or Quad HD resolution on its 6 inch display. The 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution sums up to a pixel density of 490 ppi. As teased earlier, the display occupies a major portion of the front with very thin bezels. The phone also has stereo speakers at the back. Not just that, the handset is just 4.5 mm thin.
The Vivo Xplay 3S is powered by the powerful quad core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz along with a massive 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. There is also the Adreno 330 GPU. Keeping with the recent trend, the device is equipped with a fingerprint sensor just below the camera.
The Vivo Xplay 3S is equipped with a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with LED flash and f/1.8 aperture. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The smartphone has support for dual mode LTE connectivity. The device is priced at $580 off contract.
