Videocon, after targeting the mobile network and smartphone segments, is diversifying into the tablet market. It has launched the Videocon VT85C tablet with features such as a 7-inch screen, quad-core processor, Android 4.2.2 and 1080p video playback.
“With the tablet market in the country expanding every passing day, we seek to become a strategic player in the mix of things who offers the best of technology at the most affordable of pricings to the consumer. With the VT85C we are entering an important segmentation of the market wherein with our value-oriented tablet we will compete aggressively against the bigger players”, stated Mr. Khalid Zamir, Head Product Planning and Development, Videocon Mobile Phones.
The features of the tablet include a 7-inch,1024 x 600p display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB internal memory, 1 GB RAM, a 5-megapixel back camera and a VGA front one, along with a 3000 mAh battery.
The tablet comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,999.
