Days after most of the major telecom operators slashed their data charges, Videocon made a move to reduce its rates by a whopping 90 percent.
In a bid to make high-speed mobile internet more affordable for its subscribers, Videocon Mobile Services slashed its GPRS rates by 90 percent in selected areas. The data charges have now been reduced from 10 paise per 10 KB to 1 paise per 10 KB on consumption beyond the bundled benefits of the respective data packs. The new rates are applicable across the telecom circles of Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. The new rates would be applicable from first week of July, 2013 onwards.
According to Videocon Mobile Services, “This strategic move will accelerate mobile internet adoption and data penetration across the telecom circles for Videocon Mobile Services.
