How many smartphones do you own? Surprised with this question? Well, you shouldn’t. A couple of years ago, when smartphones were still new, people used to carry multiple feature phones in order to keep their personal and professional life separate. Even I did. Now when smartphones have become more affordable, those feature phones are getting replaced.
Many smartphones come with dual SIM slots, so why carry multiple smartphones? Isn’t it? Well, those dual SIM slots only let you use two different numbers from a single smartphone. What about using multiple accounts of same app on a single device? While there are apps like Twitter and Facebook Messenger which let you login with two different accounts and switch between them as and when needed, there aren’t many apps which let you do so.
Wouldn’t it be really nice if one can use multiple accounts of same app on a single device? If you have two different numbers of WhatsApp you don’t need to invest in another device just because you can’t use both those WhatsApp numbers on a single device. If you are a social media manager, you would be dealing with multiple social media accounts. This is where the ability to use multiple accounts of same app on a single device makes life a little easier. We show you how, read on.
How to use multiple accounts of same app on Android
Step 1: Download the ‘Parallel Space – Multiple Accounts‘ app from Google Play Store.
After you have installed the app, open it and tap on ‘Start‘.
Step 2: Now tap on the big ‘+‘ icon located at the bottom of the app screen to add the app on which you would like to use multiple accounts. We would like to use multiple accounts on Facebook’s app, so we selected the Facebook app.
If the Facebook Messenger is also installed on your Android device, it will be added as well along with the Facebook app. Tap on ‘Ok‘ to add Facebook to Parallel Space.
Step 3: Tap on ‘+‘ to add more apps which you would like to use multiple accounts on. Tap on ‘More‘ written against the Clone Apps.
This will show you the entire list of apps installed on your smartphone, tap on the ones you want to add to Parallel Space in order to be able to use multiple accounts of it.
You can tap on ‘Control Center‘ to see how much RAM and storage is being consumed by apps running inside Parallel Space.
We hope you are now able to use multiple accounts of same app on Android. Besides being able to use multiple accounts of WhatsApp, Telegram, Hike, etc on a single device, you can also use multiple accounts of apps like Facebook. Being able to use multiple accounts of same app becomes useful when your job is similar to that of a Social Media Manager who has multiple social media accounts to manage. If not, this becomes essential if you want to keep your personal and professional life separate.
