The Aakash tablet created a huge buzz when it was announced, however due to its mediocre hardware; it never made a big impression in the Indian market. Well, now there is new that an upgrade for the tablet is on its way.
An upgraded version of Aakash tablet would be launched in April without any increase in the price, said Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal. The new tablet will have new specs and will be faster than the original Aakash tablet and should cost about Rs. 2,000.
Mr. Sibal saud that the it will have a 700 MHz Cortex A8 processor, 3200mAH battery with three-hour usage time and a capacitive touch screen.
Let’s hope that this time around the tablet is accepted by the people and various institutes who were pretty disappointed with the previous version.
