Samsung is gearing up to bring its payment service called Samsung Pay in India. It has already teased the Samsung Pay in the country with the Nougat update that was rolled out for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. That update brought along the Samsung Pay app as well to the devices. Well, the latest device to receive the Samsung Pay app in India is the Galaxy A7 (2016).
Not only have the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge received the Samsung Pay app through updates, but, even the Galaxy Note5 received it last week through an update which weighed 319 MB in size. Speaking of the Galaxy A7 (2016), the update it is receiving only brings with it the Samsung Pay app.
It is merely 1.02 MB in size and carries version number A710FXXU2BPJ7. According to the recent reports, Samsung is expected to launch the Samsung Pay in India before mid-2017 and has partnered with American Express. For now, only four devices – Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy A7 (2016) – have received the Samsung Pay through updates. We expect Samsung to roll out more such updates to its smartphones as the company inches closer to the launch of Samsung Pay in India.
