We have been hearing quite lot about the LG G6 lately. We now also have confirmation that LG is going to unveil the G6 during MWC on February 26. Having said that, while we do have pretty good idea of how the G6 would look, we are not quite sure yet as to what kind of hardware it will come packed with. To add to that, an unknown LG device has popped up on Geekbench which is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC.
This unknown LG device which is listed on Geekbench with model number LG-H871 is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and is accompanied by 4 GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. The device is running Android 7.0 Nougat and has scored 1736 and 4002 points in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests respectively.
Now this device can be the LG G6, however, given the fact that the G6 is said to come with Snapdragon 821, it seems very unlikely that this would be the G6. Besides that, the device is sporting 4 GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat. Now being a flagship device, we expect it to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat which is currently the latest version of Android. Of course, this is just a benchmark listing and things can always be different at the time of launch.
What is possible is that this might be some Lite variant of the G6 powered by Snapdragon 820, and hence, the flagship G6 would come with Snapdragon 821. We are still more than two weeks away from the unveiling so expect to come across more leaks and rumors until the device is made official.
